Mixing Exercise 21
Exercise 21 - The complementary pair, blue and orange, with mixed bright orange and green-blue. Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Scarlet, and Cerulean Blue.
I may have once again started with my orange on the red side, but the range of hues is extensive! I was floored by the greens--I had figured the browns would simply transition into the blues.

I remember doing these studies years ago and being amazed by this combination..its those stunning greens! You remind me I should be stricter with my colour mixing!
ReplyDeleteI recently realized that I could use these charts as a reference catalog. (The Wilcox book guides one to see how similar colors come up in different chart locations on different charts. Interesting...)
