Painting in Watercolor: Keep it Simple to Begin With
This week we are gently eased into paintings, putting to work the previous weeks' techniques.
We are asked to study within Beautiful Botanicals the painting demonstrations for an onion and a batch of daffodils.
First exercise is an onion painting. Second is a subject of our own choice. Third is to render a subject with minimal strokes. Lastly is a painting with a dark background.
That's the condensed version for now. More throughout the week as the exercises unfold.
You may remember that I wrapped up yesterday's post with a bit of complaining. I don't often provide direct quotes from my instructor but her response to that was so spot on that I just had to share it with you.
