After last night's post, I visualized this image. Rather than a patch-up of yesterday's painting, this is a new piece. About 2.5 hours. This one will be my last exercise submission for this week. (Not sure why the shading didn't come through on the leftmost lily.)
Wow, wow, wow! The composition is so strong now and the depth of background wash is gorgeous; this piece vibrates with energy and yet is calming to the eye at the same time; well done!!

Thank you, Gretchen. This was a rich learning exercise. That first irritating attempt proved to be the needed impetus--out of frustration came improvement. I think I'm going to frame this little one.
