I discovered a solitary Buttonwood tree towards the back of the lake. I'm looking forward to very soon photographing the leaves. They have a very special kind of yellowish green and although similar in shape to a maple's, are a good deal larger.
We first looked at the Buttonwood, aka American Sycamore,
earlier this year.
A bit of English Ivy,
Hedera helix , graces this beautiful tree.
