Dried Rose Study

Here's a little exploration with my dried roses. This was so enjoyable--I've really missed my egg tempera.

  3. I love your work in egg tempera. I remember some studies of leaves from a long time ago that communicated a similar quality of roundness and pearly shine. The texture of the rose petal is gorgeous -- the brushstrokes recall the grain of the plant matter. Up ahead is a shimmery vision of a slim but immaculate volume of your Top Ten Nuncketest flora. I think you might like Copperplate. It would look wonderful in the captions.

  4. Aw thanks, Katharine.

Hey, that's quite a vision. Maybe next year?
