Pussy Willows!

Each year I find Pussy Willow as my first sign of Spring. It's tradition! :-)


This is the first year that I notice the willow beaked gall, created by the midge Mayetiola rigidae.

    Oh such a sight for sore eyes! Nothing like that up this way yet- in fact we had a bit of wet snow today!
    Love the depth of field/bokeh effect you achieved in these photos; the third one is my favorite- it sparkles!

    Saturday was in the high 50's with a sharp wind but a warm, bright sun. It was my first day out strolling around in a very long time. Finally, Spring is coming in. Hope you see the signs soon!
