Mugwort

Reds and oranges and yellows and browns surround me and here a little Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris, appears clad in spring greens. Also known by Common Wormwood, this perennial is known to be a late flowerer. It's nestled around the south end of the lake and I'll get out there this weekend to scout out other specimens and try to find some signs of flowering. And also, to really try to nail down this ID as I do have that funny feeling when I'm on shaky ground.
