English Ivy

Amazing. I walk by this English Ivy, Hedera helix, every time I head out on a walk and today's the first time I notice it! Years ago while trimming some from a brick cottage, I brought home a few strands, cut them into short lengths, and rooted then in a bucket of water. I planted them in a row and had a nice wall cover on my exposed cellar wall. I wonder if this stand is somehow related?
