It always amazes me to see how different the same subject can look when rendered in other mediums. The colored pencil version of these leaves vs. this ink & wc version are like night and day yet I would be hard pressed to choose one over the other. It's nice to be able to choose your medium although sometimes the subject matter chooses its own; quite often you just "know" instinctively what to grab for the second your inspiration hits! I enjoyed your lake photos; the tiny nest with leaves in it is precious! ~gretchen
This was a fun piece where I gave myself leeway to play wet in wet. Indeed, a whole different look. Colors are a bit richer in real life...
I was so taken by that nest, only four feet from the ground! It was wonderful to be out for a walk as it seems this year I've spent lots of time with indoor art related activities. Perhaps a balance to come? ;-)
