Around The Lake

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a walk about the lake. Lots of bushes with berries for another time. For today, a shoreline shot and a blue heron surprise.

  1. Aaaah! Thanks, I needed that!
I was back on my own lake this weekend and it was delightful. Our leaves are beginning to turn already- can you believe it? My loon was there to greet me as was our resident heron and the kingfishers were in the cove, chittering away as they broke the water's surface looking for a meal. The swallows came out towards evening, skimming the water's surface, catching the last rays of the setting sun and reflecting them back to me as they arched and changed direction. Yes, I needed that; yes indeed!

  2. Lovely comments here, Gretchen.

Wow, fall is already upon us. I like these times of year when we get to compare our local climates. Getting to be Spring and Fall tradition with us, isn't it? :-)
