Light and Shading

I recently picked up a copy of Painting the Impressionist Watercolor by Lee Boynton and Linda Gottlieb--folks with ties to the Cape Cod School of Art. I've been hopping from subject to subject quite a bit lately. And who knows? That could continue. And yet, oftentimes my recent books have commonalities. Light and shadow studies, this book's first exercise, is a good example. It was a peaceful couple of hours with little by little building up values. Tomorrow will bring a spin on the same subject.
