I didn't notice the frayed wings until processing. I'm wondering if this is normal wear and tear or the result of a skirmish.
I really don't know what's going on here with that brown jelly-like stuff.
I'm finding that grasshoppers are much easier to shoot in the grass than in the open. I guess they feel safer.
Ladybugs are particularly difficult for me to expose properly because their wing shells are so darned shiny. The upside-down pose made that considerably easier.
